Congratulations to Client Accounting Services (CAS) Partner Miriam Kaplan, who has been named by the Los Angeles Business Journal (LABJ) as one of the region’s 2023 Women of Influence in Accounting.
Candidates were selected from nomination materials submitted to the LABJ and reviewed by the publication’s editorial department. The honorees were chosen based on their impact on the profession, accounting expertise and achievement, exemplary leadership, and contributions to the community.
Miriam joined Windes in 2022 and brings an extensive breadth of experience as an operations director and financial controller. She specializes in financial management and reporting, budgeting, variance analysis, financial key performance indicators, financial ratio analysis, performing due diligence for M&A transactions, and bookkeeping services. Drawing from her experience, Miriam produces customized financial reports that can help business owners and stakeholders identify opportunities for growth and cost savings and improve the overall financial health of their organizations.
As an advocate for professional development, Miriam works closely with staff accountants to position them for growth opportunities. She implemented external CPE programs to enhance their expertise, preparing them for roles within the CAS Business Insights team. Additionally, Miriam fosters strong client relationships by empowering senior accountants to manage these connections, building rapport, and instilling confidence. She is also a Board Member of the San Fernando Valley Counseling Center.
